Dr Dennis Okolo, Interim Medical Director, NSCHT
Dr Okolo has been with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust for over 18 years, having trained in and around the Staffordshire area before moving to Cheshire & Wirral Partnership Trust for his first consultant post.
Dr Okolo has been a consultant in General Adult psychiatry in the Trust since 2007. In recent years, Dr Okolo has been Clinical Director for the Stoke community directorate and Associate Medical director. Dr Okolo holds two Masters's Degrees in Psychiatry and Business administration and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
In addition, Dennis has a passion for Medical Education and has been the lead for coordinating all Undergraduate psychiatry teaching and placements at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare for over eight years. Dr Okolo is one of the Hospital Deans at Keele University Medical School and a Senior Clinical Lecturer.
Dr Buki Adeyemo, Interim Chief Executive, NSCHT
Dr Adeyemo became Combined's Interim Chief Executive in December 2021 - having previously served as Medical Director.
Dr Adeyemo is a consultant of old age psychiatry and has worked in the NHS since 1997 - for the majority of that time in North Staffordshire. Dr Adeyemo is the lead for the Mental Health Medical Directors Group in the West Midlands and promotes the principles of medical leadership to acquire the required competence and skills to deliver safe patient care. Dr Adeyemo is passionate about developing medical leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
During Dr Adeyemo's career, she has specialised in medical education and psychological therapies and has completed Interpersonal Therapy Level B training.
Dr Jayanth Srinivas, Deputy Medical Director, MPFT
Dr Jayanth Srinivas commenced as Deputy Medical Director in February 2022. This new role involves deputising for Dr Abid Khan, Medical Director and representing him at Integrated Care System forms such as the Clinical Senate. He will also support medical leaders in the care groups.
Before becoming Deputy Medical Director, Dr Srinivas acted as Clinical Director of Mental Health at NHSE/I, West Midlands, and Clinical Director of Forensic Services at MPFT, where he was involved in setting up a Provider Collaborative across West Midlands. He has also held other portfolios within the Medical Directorate including Associate Medical Director for Appraisal and Revalidation and Quality Improvement and the Mental Health Act (MHA).
He is currently the Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists, West Midlands division.
